Part time HR Advisor for a 14 month contract based in Basildon £28/32K

Your new company
A large, global, corporate organisation based near Basildon requires a Part time HR Advisor ( 4 days ) on a fixed term contract until the end of 2020

Your new role
You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive HR service to employees in a specific client group. The client group will be predominantly UK based but can include European locations as well.


* Business partner to line management providing professional HR support in line with business priorities

* Facilitate and support Talent Identification and Development processes

* Support line management on internal and external recruitment and selection processes

* Support organisation design and restructuring initiatives and staffing, organisation health (Employee Survey action planning), restructuring etc.

* Advise and support line management with the deployment of People policies e.g. Diversity, flexible work arrangements, performance management, absence, grievance and discipline etc.

* Contribute to and/or lead HR related project work and new initiatives, particularly in relation to enabling the recent HR restructure

* Partner with 'Talent' Community of Excellence for capability building e.g. change management, coaching on key people matters (incl, culture and performance), team development initiatives etc.

* Support implementation of annual merit/compensation planning

* Manage complex absence cases in conjunction with Occupational Health.

* Complete HR department administrative tasks such as International Mobility Administration and Compliance

What you'll get in return
This is a fixed term contract until the end of 2020. Working hours are 08.30 - 16.45

To be successful


* Degree qualified and preferably CIPD qualified (working towards or prepared to work towards)
* Previous experience in HR, ideally but not limited to a large organisation, including experience across the HR cycle plan and employee relations.
* Excellent influencing and negotiating skills at all levels of the organisation including at senior management level
* Customer focus and able to build strong business partnerships
* Strong facilitation and coaching skills
* Strong team player, ability to work flexibly and deliver under pressure, particularly when driving new initiatives and incremental tasks,
* IT literate
* A high level of integrity must be demonstrated in order to be successful in this role What you'll need to succeed
