Job Details
My client, an independent public body operating in the financial arena now has a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Corporate Services to join them on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services and operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role provides operational oversight of the key central services of the organisation including HR, IT, Communications and Administration. This postholder is also the Risk Manager for the organisation, overseeing the risk process and acting as Secretary to the Audit Committee. The post is also the key liaison with Internal Audit and leads on the business planning process and oversees the production of the organisation’s Annual Report.
This role would ideally suit a bright and enthusiastic generalist who has previous experience of managing a Human Resources function along with one or more of the other key functions, within a small or medium sized organisation.
You will also have first-rate interpersonal skills and be able to build successful working relationships with staff and managers across the organisation and externally.
To be considered you will require:
- Significant experience in managing multiple corporate service portfolios
- Experience of managing /overseeing HR
- Experience of risk management/governance processes
- Experience of managing external supplier contracts
- Ability to interact proactively with managers and external stakeholders
- Excellent standard of written and verbal communication with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional organisational skills – able to plan, prioritise and balance conflicting work demands
- Experience of successfully managing a multiple portfolio team
- Ability to make sound decisions on competing priorities
