Senior HR Advisor 8.30 am till 5 pm Monday to Friday Based across two sites Short term maternity cover

Your new role

* Develop relationships with managers and staff, providing professional advice on HR policies, procedures, employee relations casework and best practice in line with the organisation and law
* Take a proactive approach to achieve best possible outcomes if/when situations arise with staff members
* Responsible for the management of disciplinary, grievance, capability and harassment and discrimination cases, through to dismissal
* Assisting managers with all preparation for hearings
* To be responsible for the management of sickness, absence casework. This includes liaising with the Occupational Health Service for specialist support.
* Support the Employee Relations Manager in the review, development and implementation of corporate HR policies and practices as needed.
* Provide advice and support to the HR Advisor
* Work with the Learning and Development, Equality and Diversity and line managers to assist in identifying learning and development needs and assisting with delivery of appropriate training on HR policies, procedures and practices.

What you'll need to succeed
Sound experience with case work through to dismissal with the ability to challenge appropriately. Great interpersonal skills, having obtained experience liaising and managing staff and senior managers regularly. CIPD Qualified.
