Overview
The Archbishops’ Advisers for Appointments and Development (AAAD) provide leadership development for senior Bishops and Deans and also supports senior appointments within the Church and works closely with Dioceses to identify and support those with the potential for senior office/wider responsibility. It also provides leadership development, including coordinating the support to the Ministerial Development Review (MDR) process.
The leadership development agenda continues to evolve and each year there are a wide range of interesting priorities.
An immediate priority is the refresh of the Ministerial Development Review (MDR) for Diocesan Bishops. This process includes regular guided discussions and feedback framed around an office holder’s ministry. MDR examines the past and current accountabilities and shapes future accountabilities. Based on the review a plan for personal ministerial growth and development is agreed.
During 2019 the update of the MDR process for Diocesan Bishops has taken place and a pilot of a refreshed approach is due to commence from early 2020. Part of the pilot will require identification and implementation of a web based digital solution to support the process.
Post Introduction
This is an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager with experience of HR and web/digital-based processes, to manage the pilot of the refreshed Ministerial Development Review process, the evaluation of learning and enhancing our learning and development offer through better digital solutions.
Over time, the range of programmes and projects will continue to evolve and therefore bring new opportunities to contribute to the agenda.

You will be comfortable working in an environment where high levels of confidentiality will be required and you will enjoy working proactively and flexibly, with occasional travel and work outside of normal office hours.
Interviews will be held on the 5th December 2019
In return we offer a unique environment with opportunities for continuous learning, generous annual leave for work life balance, season ticket loans and a range of benefits including discounted entry to attractions and what we feel is a market leading package when it comes to our pension scheme.
