HR Officer 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

University, education authority, public sector organisation in the heart of Nottingham.

Your new role
You will be supporting the HR Manager to provide specialist advice and generalist functions throughout the organisation. The role is employee relations and casework focused; with the key HR function within this organisation being grievance, disciplinary, staff retention and absence management. You will be required to adhere to the Universities policy, procedures throughout the HR life-cycle of employee relations.
Furthermore, you will be expected to provide operational support to organisation initiatives, projects and HR activities, including occupational health.

You will be joining a large HR team, supporting up to 7 other HR employees throughout a sector of the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need at least 2 years' direct exposure within a similar HR Officer role, with strong knowledge on employee relations and casework. You must be open to working in a large and busy organisation with a high volume of casework. Ideally you will have a generalist background; you will need to be CIPD Level 5 qualified or above. Ideally you will be based in Nottingham. It would be favourable to have past experience with iTrent HR systems.

This role is to start as soon as possible - with the scope for extension.
