Your new role

A vacancy has arisen within our clients HR team for a Pay & Benefits Analyst. You will be a pivotal member of the team, which consists of 8 team members. You will be responsible for the delivery of payroll and benefit services to their employees, totalling c360 employees, based in Pirbright. You will work closely with all HR colleagues in delivering an excellent service to the organisation in meeting its people objectives, as well as working collaboratively across the organisation. You will have a high level of autonomy and will be responsible for the delivery of all reward activity, including payroll (via our outsourced payroll provider), benefits, pay benchmarking, regular production and analysis of management information, secretary to the Pay & Policy Committee as well as liaising with Finance and Grants teams on funding arrangements and labour distribution and ensuring that the appropriate governance is in place to comply with all audit requirements.


You will play a key role in contributing to the development of interventions and processes that underpin the total reward strategy for the organisation and identifying new initiatives to enhance their existing reward offer. You will be responsible for meeting statutory and other reporting requirements, including Gender Pay Gap reporting and Equal Pay audits. You will lead on key reward initiatives such as salary sacrifice, performance processes and pensions, and regularly liaise with third party providers to deliver solutions to meet the organisation's needs, such as pensions advisors, benefit providers and our outsourced payroll provider.
What you'll need to succeed
Educated to degree level or equivalent through experience.
Excellent knowledge of pay and benefits, including pay models and benchmarking tools and an understanding of tax and HR legislation and process within the UK.
Significant experience of delivering monthly payroll and advising on a full range of pay and benefits issues.
Experience of managing pensions administration.
Experience of working with and influencing senior managers on reward.
A good understanding of employment law as it relates to pay and benefits, in particular equal pay.
Experience of gender pay gap reporting.
Experience of selecting, designing and implementing reward and recognition initiatives, both financial and non-financial.
