Our Case Team Lead position in Leatherhead is a 12 month fixed term (maternity cover) role, offering the opportunity to be part of a complex multifunctional HR team, delivering end to end case work of varying complexities across our UK sites.  

The closing date for this role is Friday 6th December 2019 and face to face interviews will begin week commencing Monday 9th December 2019.

Responsibilities include:  

  • Supervising UK case management processes, including disciplinary, performance management and grievance procedures
  • Acting as the primary contact for monitoring developments in UK case & employment law, making appropriate recommendations against our UK procedures
  • Establishing effective working relationships with business line contacts to provide expertise & guidance relating to complex case management queries
  • Developing and maintaining policies and procedures relating to both employee relations and case management 
  • Ensuring best practice and legal rigor is applied to a large portfolio of diverse case work  

In addition, there may also be opportunities to work on broader UK initiatives, as a member of the ExxonMobil HR Team.

To be eligible for this role, you must:  

  • Hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree 
  • Be, or be working towards being, a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, or equivalent 
  • Have professional knowledge of employment law and ACAS codes of practice 
  • Have previous HR consulting experience relating to the following topics:
    • Employee/labour relations 
    • Legislative/regulatory compliance 
  • Possess strong numeracy, analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Be able to demonstrate a strong customer focus and outstanding communication skills
  • Be able to accommodate irregular travel to other sites across the UK to meet business needs  

Previous experience overseeing a team of HR professionals would be advantageous.
