Artis HR are currently supporting a Charity in central Bristol with the recruitment of a L&D Training Manager, this is a part time post paying £31,000 FTE pro-rata accordingly, our client is looking for an individual to do 3 days per week - 22.5 hour on an FTC until the end of march although possibility to extend or go perm.

Job Purpose:
To be responsible for leading and developing the internal training programme for staff, helping individuals and teams develop skills and knowledge on the charity's mandatory requirements by delivering training, creating training materials and analysing training for effectiveness in order to support the needs of the organisation. To advise on and procure external training providers as necessary. To manage the training budget.

Key Responsibilities:
*To design and deliver training for the charity's workforce in the following, but not limited to, categories:
omanagement training including generic management skills training and specific training ensuring that all courses meet best practice and reflect current internal policies and procedures as well as UK employment law.
oa range of skills and personal development training courses which reflect the aims of our strategy
othe communication of company policies and procedures to all managers and staff
*To work closely with the HR team to ensure training is designed and delivered when there is a need to ensure appropriate groups of staff are trained in any new procedures introduced due to employment law updates or internal decisions.
*To work with staff who deliver training as part of their role and provide advice on best practice methodology to ensure a transfer of learning.
*To manage the new staff induction course including; designing the day, regularly reviewing the programme to ensure it meets organisational objectives.
*Managing the On-line Training Officer, to manage the continued successful use of eLearning.
*To design and deliver training that supports organisational change including outplacement support.
*To ensure a training schedule is available for internal communication via the intranet, promoting training opportunities for staff.
*To design bespoke training and team building sessions, working with managers to ensure the training intervention meets their needs.
*To design bespoke training for learning interventions in cases of ongoing performance management issues with a member of staff.
*To evaluate all training courses and programmes delivered across the charity to ensure they meet the minimum evaluation scores and to investigate any issues raised.
*To react to results of research/evaluation which finds a need for design changes and ensure these are implemented.
*To report on all training activities to the OD (person), including; evaluation of training, number of training days and equality and diversity statistics.
*To source and evaluate external trainers when necessary.
*To advice on external training requirement, lengthy courses and study.
*To managing the training budget.

People Management:
*To line manage an L & D (Training) Administrator by setting clear objectives and monitoring performance to maximise their potential.

Communication and marketing:
*To manage communication of upcoming training events as required.
*To ensure Training policies are kept up to date.
*To support and comply with the charity's guidance on branding, tone of voice and key messages, positively contributing towards raising the charity's profile.
