We are looking for a new Head of Employee Services to lead and drive forward the performance of our Employee Services and Medical HR Teams, shaping and determining the direction and delivery of a comprehensive service to support the Trust in meeting key strategic and operational workforce objectives. This is a high-profile role within the Trust at a pivotal time and would offer an excellent opportunity for career progression.

Reporting into the Deputy Director of People, you will be expected to successfully operationalise strategy and policy, leading the Employee Services and Medical HR Teams in the delivery of efficient, legally compliant, timely, accurate, consistent and proactive HR services to support the Trust’s key HR metrics and performance indicators.

It is essential that our future Head of Employee Services holds the following:

  • Up-to-date Employment Law knowledge
  • CIPD qualification
  • NHS experience – ideally in an acute setting
  • Medical HR knowledge.

You will provide leadership for the ongoing development of the Employee Services and Medical HR Teams, providing a full HR Service to the Trust delivering first level HR support guidance through the Helpdesk, HR Administration, HR case management and consultancy experts, HR governance and assurance and HR policies and guidance through HR Web and DMS. The post-holder will also be responsible for the leadership of medical and non-medical Employee Relations in the Trust, and working with the HR Business Partners to ensure the planning, development and implementation of changes to non-medical pay, benefits, terms, conditions and policies.
