The Human Resources (HR) Directorate at the University of Strathclyde is seeking an energetic, collaborative individual as its new Deputy Director of HR. The HR Directorate delivers and supports on all aspects of the employment and development journey. We have a dedicated professional team of 58 staff (c.53 FTE) based on our main campus who care deeply about ensuring the best possible work experience for our University colleagues. As a team we are proud of the people oriented, socially progressive, values based approach we take to delivering our services.
Underpinning all our efforts, is the University’s ambitious new People Strategy, launched earlier in 2020. This will be instrumental the delivery of the Strathclyde 2025 Strategic Plan. We are also currently procuring a new HR Payroll System that will provide the opportunity to redesign the way we deliver our services, allowing our HR teams to add real value to the work of our Faculties and Professional Services functions. The Deputy Director of HR will play a key role in the successful delivery of these initiatives.
As Deputy Director of Human Resources, you will have strategic and operational responsibility for specific University-wide HR priorities, play a key role in the successful implementation of the University People Strategy and will act as formal deputy to the Director of Human Resources. You will lead the delivery of key elements of the strategic objectives and operational plans of the HR Directorate.
