Learning & Development Business Partner
Manchester (Combination of Head Office and remote working)
£40,000 - £44,000 per annum
Full Time, Permanent
A fantastic opportunity to join Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG) at a time of significant transformation. Learning and Development will be key to ensuring we achieve our business objectives. The successful candidate will influence our culture of continuous learning through L&D programmes which will enable the group to constantly evolve and develop; and create learning solutions that align to the Corporate plan and People Strategy.
We’re looking for an individual who is passionate about learning and development, and who will bring their expertise in how L&D can support strategic business objectives. You will have the opportunity to shape the design, development and implementation of L&D interventions working closely with external partners to deliver effective training solutions. Business acumen and a strong relationship builder, implementing learning interventions in all layers of the business to maximise the potential and improve capability of individuals, teams and the Group. You will work with teams, managers and key stakeholders to develop and deliver a blended learning and development offer which supports the full learning cycle, including evaluation and demonstrable return on investment.
This is a new role being created within our award-winning team; and you will be an integral part of the HR team. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will join us at an exciting time following the launch of our Corporate Plan 2020 – 2022; and as we embark on a new People Strategy with a focus on developing a more flexible, collaborative, and empowered workforce.
We are a values-based organization that works hard to attract and retain talented staff. We have a team of circa 540 colleagues. This role needs someone who will role model the company values and leadership behaviours; and who will develop a profile across the entire workforce, and influence all aspects of the talent life cycle.
We are one of the largest registered housing providers in Greater Manchester – uniquely positioned within Wythenshawe’s ‘Garden City’. Our vision is ‘Creating communities where people choose to live and work, having pride in their homes and services. We are responsible for nearly 14,000 properties providing homes to 20,000 people. Tenants are at the heart of our organisation, and we have strong social values and are committed to supporting and sustaining the regeneration of Wythenshawe.
This is a fantastic role with a big remit - the opportunity to make a difference could be hugely rewarding… but more than that, with every job role comes a competitive salary, great pension scheme, holiday that will increase with each year of service, flexible working, an employee assistance and health care plan including staff benefits, professional membership, and excellent ongoing learning opportunities.
