Our client is a major manufacturer of branded food products; brands that are instantly recognisable the world over, and brands that enjoy the number one position in the various categories they encompass. The recruitment function is essential to ensure the business continues to grow in line with its full potential. Succession planning will also be part of your remit.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you should have at least two years experience as either an HR Manager, or In House recruiter, and if from an HR background you should be able to demonstrate that you are experienced in recruitment in a multi-disciplinary, multi-site environment. The sheer scope of this role will involve identifying top talent across the whole range of business functions. You could be recruiting a Sales Director one day and a Production Manager the next, and no two days will be the same in this busy and exciting job.
. The role will require you to liaise with senior line managers throughout the business, and to gain a detailed and comprehensive understanding of their recruitment objectives both strategically, and on a job by job basis.
. Designing, implementing and monitoring well targeted and well-constructed recruitment plans to ensure the business has the right people at the right time.
. Although your brief will be to recruit directly wherever possible, there may be occasions when you may have to appoint recruitment agencies for the more specialist jobs.
. Rate negotiations, Service Level Agreements with agencies.
. Creation of the Employer Branding strategy.
. Candidate engagement and ( pre-employment ) assessment strategy.
. Assisting Line Managers with Interviews at all levels within the business.
. Liaising with recruitment advertising agencies.
The position is home based although there will be extensive travelling involved to the various factories which are located throughout Britain. There will be a considerable amount of travel and some overnight stops ( depending on how you plan your workload and where you live, but in the region of two to three nights each month away from home.
This is a senior role and we have been briefed to recruit an experienced and capable individual to meet the various challenges. Although there is no direct man management responsibility you will be expected to take a leading role, and to have the gravitas and credibility to immediately enjoy the respect of your peers and colleagues.
In return for your dedication and expertise our client is prepared to pay a basic salary of between £42,000 to £48,276 depending on your previous experience and level of seniority. There is also a company car with this position. The company operates flexi working hours and actively promotes life / work balance to all its employees.
