This is an exciting opportunity to lead and drive effective workforce design and structure for Greater Manchester Police to enable the Force to meet current and future requirements. You will support the Director of Strategic Resourcing in delivering Force objectives relating to workforce planning and strategy and provide top level advice and guidance to the Force Leadership Team and other internal and external bodies.
You will provide leadership and direction of designated teams providing workforce planning, workforce design, HR performance, duty management and job evaluation functions.
You will lead on the production of the Force’s medium term workforce plan, people resource planning and the production and analysis of HR Performance statistics.
We are seeking an individual with significant experience operating at a senior level, experience of leading and implementing workforce design and planning strategies, analysis and presentation of complex performance data and managing HR/resourcing systems to support business planning and delivery of services.
You will have the ability to influence effectively at a senior level and manage a diverse group of professional staff.
You will have extensive knowledge of best practice in workforce planning and design; experience and knowledge of workforce analysis, performance statistics, resource management and workforce development.

The post is based at Force Headquarters, Newton Heath, Manchester, which is accessible by public transport (Metrolink).
