Employee Services Manager - £50-60k – Home Counties/home based/agile working

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a progressive organisation who are recruiting this newly created role to support their back office HR function.

Reporting in to the Head of function, your key responsibilities will be to manage a small team to ensure that employees receive a professional service from HR, that HR systems are maintained and accurate, and to provide business leaders with data that supports them in making the right decisions around people.

This role would suit an HR generalist who has worked in a standalone position covering all aspects of HR including payroll within an organisation of 1000 employees plus.

Key responsibilities:

Ensuring responses to employee queries are delivered within the SLA

Management of the deliverables in the monthly payroll process

Develop and maintain relationships across the wider HR function and business

Deliver monthly reporting packs relating to people data, drawing your information from different HR systems

Maintain the existing HR policies, guidance, and templates to ensure these are up to date and compliant with legislation.

Support with writing RemCo papers

Manage the handover between employee services and talent acquisition ensuring that the onboarding process is complete

Articulate the employee journey and work across HR to propose and deliver improvements.

Support the transition to a new HRIS system over the next 18 -24 months

Own the day to day management of the absence system

Manage and develop your own team and direct reports

Key skills and experience:

Demonstrable experience of working in a customer orientated environment

Experience of managing HR Policies and Processes

Experience of manipulating data to demonstrate key trends for busines leaders

Line Management

Commercial, numerical and analytical skills

Working knowledge of payroll systems and ability to generate and interpret data and reports

Advanced MS Office skills including Excel

Presentation skills

Experience with HRIS systems

Knowledge of Employment legislation and statutory reporting
