Were seeking a HR Project Officer to lead on a absence management project seeking to reduce absence.

Were seeking an experienced HR professional, Senior HR Advisor, Business Partner, HR Manager with a strong background of reducing absence management within a complex organisation.

Our client is looking to engage an HR professional to focus on an absence management project seeking to reduce absence across a variety of complex departments. Your role will be to work autonomously across the organisation liaising with department managers and HR teams to develop strategies to reduce absence.
Key tasks : -

* Reviewing HR Absence data, identifying hot spots, trends and departments with high absence/sickness rates
* Engage/liaise with key stakeholder managers and Business partners to review causes and issues of high absence in department.
* Develop effective employee absence management strategies which enable managers to reduce absence management and address long term issues.
* Evaluate ways of working, review job descriptions, mental health & well being approaches
* You will work across Senior Leadership, Health & Safety, Occupational Health and HR BP/Advisors
* As you will be working as part of a busy HR team you may also be asked to support absence management meetings, but the core role will be the reduction of absence project.

Candidates
You will need to be an experienced HR professional with a background of employer relations in complex unionised environments. Alongside this you will need demonstrable experience of developing appropriate strategies and interventions which have impact on absence management within a larger complex organisation .

CIPD Level 5/ 7
Proven experience in Absence Management / Sickness
Confidence and professionalism to engage Senior leadership teams and work proactively across the HRBP/HR Advisors

This is a full time role 37 hours but they do offer good flexibility and working from home
Initially a 6 months temporary contract via Hays with the potential extension to 12 months

£19.41 - £21.55 per hour PAYE or upto £23.70 umbrella + 6 to 12 months
