An autonomous ER Specialist role to join a leading waste management business, covering Salisbury & Hampshire.
Your new company
My exclusive client are a UK leader in waste, water & energy management, working on behalf of public authorities across the country.
Your new role
This is a varied, home-based role that will offer autonomy as you will cover multiple sites across the South, predominantly in Salisbury & Hampshire. You could be required to travel to London on occasions, with a rare overnight stay when attending meetings further North.
As an Employee Relations (ER) Specialist, you will act as the first point of contact for corporate line managers on ER matters, providing specialist advice & solutions in line with current legislation. This will include, but not be limited to disciplinary, grievances, investigations, TUPE, restructures and capability. You will liaise with the company's legal advisors in relation to more complex cases & support the ER & policy development manager & external solicitors with the management of employment tribunal claims as required.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be CIPD Level 5 qualified or above, with proven experience in an ER-biased HR Generalist role or as an ER Specialist within a unionised & regulated environment. Your proven ER experience will include advising on complex disciplinary & grievance issues & you will have the ability to apply the relevant legal principles & risk assessment, mediating disputes & bringing matters to a positive conclusion.
Experience of supporting large scale organisational change & restructuring programmes including TUPE, redundancy & contractual variations is also key, as is the experience of partnering with trade unions, with a good understanding of the trade union framework & collective bargaining.
You must be a strong communicator who can influence all levels of management , combining strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability & the ability to deliver results to demanding deadlines.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a generous salary between £42,500-£47,000 (DOE), plus a company car or car allowance of £6,600/annum.
