Chief People Officer

Are you a values driven people specialist wanting to make a difference?

Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is in the midst of delivering its People Plan and is looking for a Chief People Officer to lead our teams into the next phase and beyond. Our people are our greatest asset and we are keen to continue to develop an inclusive culture built on the foundations of equity, diversity and fairness, where staff feel cared for, supported and developed. Our ambition is to make DCH the best place to work.

We are strongly motivated in progressing our equality, diversity and inclusion agenda and as Chief People Officer you will champion this ambition. You will hold commitment and passion to achieve our goals, delivering evidence-based improvements. We are looking for someone who understands culture and human relationships with the ability to engage with our people at every level and who truly understands what is required to achieve an inclusive culture.

As Chief People Officer you’ll lead a substantial team with a diverse range of skills and experience, ensuring your own inclusive leadership style sets an excellent example. Our ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a successful track record in working as a strategic people leader at a comparable level.

As an Executive Director, the Chief People Officer will be a member of the Trust Board and play a key role in shaping the strategy, vision and purpose of the organisation. You’ll also ensure any risks to the organisation, staff and public are managed and mitigated effectively.
