Race Equality Manager

Please note this is a maternity cover contract and will start remotely.

Your new role
Reporting to an Equality & Diversity Manager and working collaboratively with others, including the senior leadership team, it will be your role to oversee the REC award application. The REC Manager will be a focal part of analysing data and establishing the narrative in order to form an effective evidence based action plan. Working cohesively with various teams, networks and the equality committee, you will ensure the required actions are embedded into policies, procedures and behaviours, in hand with continuously researching and recommending initiatives to improve race equality activity across the university.

What you'll need to succeed
Higher education experience isn't essential; however you must have supported similar charter applications, with expertise in delivering race equality activities. You will be an experienced diversity professional, confident interpreting data, influencing stakeholders and challenging where appropriate.
