HR Team Leader

Preston, Lancashire (agile and remote working available)

Up to £34,000 per annum

Full time, Permanent

Our client’s Human Resources function is changing. They are reshaping their team structure in order to provide expertise, developing and aligning people plans and initiatives aligned with their business strategy and goals and help deliver positive change.

They have an ambitious People Strategy and through development of their operating model they can ensure they are best placed to respond to the needs and expectations of the Group as well as their 650+ colleagues across the organisation.

This role is pivotal in changing the way that the HR Team operates and ensuring that their HR Business Partners can perform in their roles. You are a ‘change agent’ somebody who looks at processes and continually reviews and improves them.

Leading a small team, you will provide a high level, accurate service to the HR function and the wider business if needed and be responsible for ensuring transactional processes across the Human Resources function are carried out efficiently.

You will be responsible for policy and process development, managing all touch points and ensuring adherence to standards and consistency in approach. You will be comfortable in anticipating and responding to changes in practice and adapting policy, processes and systems as necessary. At the same time, you will identify when approaches need to be tailored/adapted to specific circumstances.

You will want to take the lead in driving through the Business Intelligence agenda and making changes to the system and the way that they operate to enable more accurate data driven decisions.

Therefore you are someone who is at ease producing the reports, but also analysing the data.  Writing reports and making recommendations for changes on the back of what the data is telling them is where they want to be. There will be some HR Advisory requirements, but this will not be the main focus of the role as you will manage a HR Advisor who will be the subject matter expert in this field.

You might already be a HR systems super user or aspire to become one. They use Midland HR itrent so if you have experience of using this system that would be a nice bonus, but not essential.

This is an exciting time to join the HR team which will provide you with the opportunity to make your mark, shape the relationship with their internal customers and innovate the way that they work.

They are investors in people accredited and committed to promoting diverse and inclusive communities in the workplace and through everything they do.
