Learning and Development Trainer/Facilitator

Band 6 (Agenda for Change)

This is a fantastic opportunity to come and join us at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust. Do you have a background and experience within Learning and Development? Do you have a natural flare for developing people and helping to deliver continuous professional development? This is an exciting time to come and join us, in supporting the Trust to deliver an exceptional learning and development experience, introducing a blended learning approach both virtually and face to face.

You will be working within the Learning and Development team and will be expected to deliver a quality and customer focused service through innovative design and delivery techniques/methods focused on equipping our managers and staff to reach their full potential. Leadership development and capability is a key component to deliver the Trust strategy. In particular, it is vital to the people strategy ambition which is to create the best place to work for our staff and to ensure we have a workforce that have the right values, skills, diversity and experience to meet the evolving needs of our service users.

The Trust prides itself on our values of Compassionate, Inclusive and Committed. We are keen to recruit a candidate who will demonstrate the Trust values together with role modelling inclusive behaviours.

You will have the ability to adapt and deliver a wide range of learning and development interventions – leadership, soft skills, core/essential skills, coaching, mentoring, appraisals, and more. You will be working with our Learning and Development Consultants in supporting our staff to develop effective people leadership and management skills.

A relevant Undergraduate degree qualification or equivalent training or substantial experience in a management/training role within the learning and development field is essential. You will also have a formal qualification in teaching e.g. PTTLS or Post Graduate Certificate in Education. You must be an excellent communicator who can quickly establish credibility with colleagues at all levels within the organisation.

You will have experience of working in a fast paced environment and have the ability and resilience to adapt to changing requirements whilst maintaining a quality and customer focused service.

This is a full time, permanent post. Temporarily remote working due to Covid19.

If you believe that you are a suitable candidate for the challenging and rewarding role then please apply.
