We are now seeking to appoint a Director of Human Resources (HR) to develop and deliver a comprehensive People Strategy built on our commitment to integrity, staff engagement and greater inclusion. We want to create a stimulating and rewarding working environment where contribution is recognised, talent developed and both the staff and student experience enhanced.

Reporting directly to our Vice Principal (Resources & Planning) and a member of the Senior Leadership Team, our new Director of HR will be joining the College at a time of great opportunity and strategic renewal. The Director of HR will lead all aspects of HR including resourcing, leadership and development, employee relations, reward, organisational development and equality, diversity and inclusion.

We are looking for a leader who can inspire our community and champion an environment of collective pride in which the contribution of our colleagues is recognised and respected. You will bring HR leadership experience, the ability to shape a People Strategy that will lead to positive change across the College, develop and coach a high performing HR team and deliver outstanding HR operations. You will be an effective influencer and relationship manager with the skills to build a common set of values and a shared vision across the College.

At a time of great change, this role offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to make a major, lasting contribution to the success of the College and the communities it serves.

Please apply by completing the appropriate application form on FE Jobs and in no more than two sides of A4, write a supporting statement, which meets the person specification and outlines:

  • Your reasons for applying for this position and a vision of what you will bring to the role:
  • Your experience to date which you feel makes you a suitable candidate; and
  • An indication of your strengths, both personally and professionally.

All campuses are accessible and facilities such as prayer rooms are available. We are committed to the recruitment and retention of disabled people, and are a Disability Confident Employer. The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is desirable for this post.

Applications may be submitted in Welsh and will not be treated less favourably than applications submitted in English.

The College is committed to safeguarding, ensuring the safety and welfare of children and young people. Employment is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and registration with the Education Workforce Council. Please note that successful candidates will be expected to pay for the Enhanced Disclosure and registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
