Do you have the Vision, Passion and Dedication to become part of the team guiding a charity that delivers Exceptional Critical Care to people in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight?


Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance is recruiting a number of Trustees to join its Board in 2021.
Trustees have overall control of the charity and are responsible for making sure it’s doing what it was set up to do. 


Trustees are “eyes on, hands off” volunteers. They spend approximately 12 part-days per year on Charity business. This includes attendance at Board and Sub-Committee Meetings, and other one-off commitments. The role is unpaid; however, Trustees can claim expenses for travel to and from meetings.


Being a Trustee means making decisions that will impact on people’s lives.


Trustees use their skills and experience to support the charity, helping us achieve our aims. Trustees are also supported to learn relevant new skills during their time on the Board. 


No specific qualifications are required, although a passion for the work of the charity, and having skills and knowledge in any of the following is desirable:
•    Aviation
•    Charity governance and management
•    Charity law
•    Commercial property management or Surveying
•    Critical Health Care
•    Digital marketing and social media
•    Finance and accountancy
•    Fundraising
•    General health care and the NHS
•    Investment fund management
•    Leadership
•    Local government
•    Management
•    Marketing
•    Team working

The deadline for applications is 31st December 2020. Those selected for interview will be contacted in late January, with interviews planned for week commencing 8th February 2021. These will be in person where possible (Covid restrictions permitting).
