About the role 

Our client is now recruiting for an Associate Employee Relations Specialist to join their People Team on a full time permanent basis. 

 

The Associate Employee Relations Specialist plays a pivotal role in the delivery of their ER service to the Group and its key stakeholders. 

 

Key responsibilities include the effective maintenance of Employee Relation related case files and information, supporting the Employee Relations Specialists in the delivery of exceptional service on all people matters, act as their first line Employee Relation service to internal and external customers, complete the collection, initial interpretation and presentation of workforce data, and where appropriate support leaders at day to day Employee Relation related meetings and cases under the guidance of the Employee Relations Specialist.

 

You will be required to attend selective investigations, hearings, performance management and meetings to assist the Employee Relations Specialists with caseload, but also to further your own professional development and knowledge.

 

You will also be an ambassador of their culture, values and behaviours and promote diversity and equal opportunities.

 

About you 

It is essential that you have a Diploma/Level 5 in HR practice or substantial progress towards the achievement or equivalent experience.

 

You must have a knowledge and understanding of employment legislation/case law and practical application in the work place and an understanding of current best practice in relation to HR practice.

 

You will be required to interpret and practically apply policies, procedures and guidance materials and have experience of supporting day and to day employee relations issues, e.g. sickness, absence, performance management, disciplinary and grievance.

 

For this position, it is essential that you have the ability to collect and interpret data and information and translate to a usable format (both written and numerical) to inform decisions and identify opportunities for development.
