Part time H&S Manager – £50k FTE - Cambridgeshire
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful FMCG organisation experiencing growth across the UK and EMEA. The role is part of the HR team reporting into the HR Director and has a direct report of an H&S Officer.
This is a part time role for c19 hours per week.
The role:
Taking overall responsibility for ensuring a safe working environment through the management and the delivery of H&S activities for the UK and supporting specific locations across EMEA; aligning activities to support delivery of business plan objectives.
Leading on the delivery of the H&S environment across EMEA, creating a culture of H&S ownership by management, ensuring legal requirements are met & maintained as a minimum.
Leading on new or significant H&S initiatives within the UK, e.g. H&S committee, audits, site alterations or key programmes (COVID)
Managing an H&S Officer who is responsible for the day to day BAU H&S environment, providing guidance, coaching, support to ensure processes, documentation (JSA’s, SOP’s, training records etc.) are completed and they deliver their role.
Providing H&S advice and support to H&S colleagues for new projects and changes to the H&S environment across EMEA.
Managing preparation and completion of all required H&S reports. Interface and partner with external bodies to provide H&S services and support.
Design, implement and conduct H&S training as required.
The candidate:
Demonstrable experience in an equivalent H&S role.
Strong understanding of H&S laws, H&S related technology and vendor liaison.
Management and leadership capability - line management experience.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good organisation and project management skills essential.
Holder of higher level H&S professional qualification (eg NEBOSH Diploma).
Ability to travel and must possess valid driver's licence.
