The main objective of this opportunity is to scope, build and manage a simple, sustainable and effective talent management and development approach, which is measurable, to create a pipeline of engaged talent with the skills needed to ensure future success of the organisation. As the Learning and Talent Development Lead, you will provide expertise across the organisation on talent development and will design and set up some simple but effective high quality programmes from scratch. You will champion efforts to attract, train and retain great people. You will design and implement inclusive programmes for competency development, leadership and management development and succession planning. You will develop and manage a suite of scalable learning solutions to transform the existing organisation-wide leadership and management capability.

As the lead person on talent, you will partner with leaders across the organisation and the People team to identify business needs and create strategic solutions for building employee and volunteer engagement. You will develop relevant skills and competencies across the entire organisation, establishing talent systems, mentoring programmes and talent development pathways.

To summarise, the key objectives for this role are:

* To build an approach to talent management and development
* Create a new approach to Leadership and Management Capability
* Roll out Leadership and Management Learning solutions
* Monitor and Evaluate
* Support Broader Learning and Development approaches

Candidates looking to apply will have an externally recognised L&D qualification, such as CIPD, ILM or CMI (or equivalent work experience). You will have significant experience of establishing and developing successful talent development programmes and previous experience of developing a leadership and management framework from scratch. You will be able to demonstrate your expertise in designing inclusive talent development approaches and high-quality leadership and management frameworks. You will also have solid experience in measuring the impact and effectiveness of such programmes. Ideal candidates will have worked in an organisation where there are budget restraints and you will have innovative and creative solutions to this challenge.
