HR Business Partner, up to £50k + car, Worcester - exp reqd. Must be willing to travel for this position

Your new role
The overall purpose for this opportunity is to provide a quality HR Business partnering service by working closely with the management team. Also, to support the Head of HR Services and HR Director on key HR projects across the organisation:

* Engage with all levels of the workforce to ensure harmonious employee relations, taking appropriate formal or informal steps to resolve conflicts and disputes.
* Provide robust support in the delivery of disciplinary, grievance and capability processes to ensure the maintenance of company standards in terms of conduct, process compliance and performance.
* To maintain accurate and easily retrievable records for all ER cases.
* Ensuring HR best practice is embedded in the business by collaborating with the Service Centre HR team to ensure consistency in delivery.
* Work collaboratively with the HR Service Centre team to ensure the accuracy of documentation and records are not compromised.
* Mentor and support the HR Service Centre.
* Coaching management to enhance their skills in resolving people issues and conflict.
* Coach management in the effective use of performance tools and processes, ensuring that the principles are applied consistently and fairly to deliver outcomes that drive performance and deliver business objectives.
* Work proactively with the management team to manage key people risks in the business and taking positive steps to resolve before these before they become problems for the business.
* To coordinate and manage key HR projects across the wider business as directed by the HR Manager and Director.

What you'll need to succeed

Confident in delivering training and succession planning, Consultative and influential, Up to date knowledge of employment law and best practice HR policy and practice, Resourcing and workforce planning, Graduate of the CIPD, Mid to Senior level experience as an HR practitioner, Proven track record of handling a range of complex employee relations issues and casework, Experience of construction or engineering sector ideally.

Change (incorporating flexibility, adaptability, strategic thinking and influencing capability) - Supports the effective implementation of policies and processes, balancing the need for engagement with the need for speed. Is able to modify approach, multitask, exercise sound judgement and prioritise conflicting demands for a range of customers. Is eager to promote continuous improvement through change.

Customer Service (incorporating coaching, consultative expertise, relationship management and business acumen) - Acts as a coach to line managers and colleagues; uses in-depth understanding of others (including what motivates them) to create productive working relationships and deliver a quality service to clients. Provides an excellent customer experience, proactively holding regular reviews with strategic customers.

Communication (incorporating analytical skills) - Provides advice to line managers in a way which enables them to understand the context and the rationale for the advice. Provides clear specification to specialists within the team when support is needed. Able to adapt communication skills to varied situations.

Commitment - Challenges established thinking and processes using language that the business understands. Champions measurable achievement of outcomes. Takes responsibility; owns both successes and failures.

Development (incorporating resilience and integrity) - Able to stand own ground and persevere despite setbacks. Personally exemplifies desired changes through own actions. Shares learning by reviewing successes and failures and drives for improvement.

Planning - Ability to plan for and lead HR projects using project management and project planning skills and methodology.This role is multi-site ordinarily and applicants must be willing to travel - it will be office based c30% of your time in Worcester when possible.
