Our client is a multi-site, fast paced business and a well-known brand, employing several thousand people. The business has changed significantly and following a review of the HR model, the new role of Head of Learning & Development has been created for an experienced Learning & Development professional to bring a forward thinking, blended learning & development approach to the Development and Engagement agendas. This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented and innovative Learning & Development professional, with the ability to demonstrate ROI, to lead the future strategy for Learning, championing and driving the digital learning agenda.

This is a dual role where you will manage and inspire a small team of Learning professionals as well as lead on the development of leadership, sales, apprenticeship and team programmes. Your remit will be to lead and develop a Learning & Development function which is regarded as both a strategic and operational partner to the business. Leading the Learning & Development strategic agenda across sites and head office, you will thrive on the opportunity to deliver multiple, tailored Learning & Development solutions and be able to utilise your creativity and ability to deal with ambiguity to deliver leading edge programmes.  You will further develop a team to work in collaboration with the business leaders and HR Business Partners to deliver an incorporated approach to Learning & Development, which enhances employee engagement, develops the talent pools and is able to increase overall performance.

To be considered for this role, you will be an experienced Learning & development professional with a proven track record of establishing and leading the strategic direction of a well-regarded Learning & Development function for a large, complex, customer service led, multi-site business during a period of change. The ideal candidate will have experience of procuring and implementing a new E Learning and LMS system as well as managing the L&D budget.

Commercially astute, with the ability to build credibility quickly, the successful incumbent will also be able to demonstrate success in developing the capability of a geographically dispersed workforce through a blended learning approach.
