It is an exciting time to join the Trust with significant opportunity to make an impact through the introduction of new and improved ways of working. We are recruiting an energetic and innovative Head of Workforce OD to lead the implementation of OD strategies, plans and innovations and to play a pivotal role in driving forward the implementation of the People Plan.
You will manage a varied portfolio incorporating Workforce OD, Workforce Transformation, Workforce Planning and Analytics, and HR Governance. You will directly line manage work stream leads with expertise in their own area , and will ensure the work streams are effectively developed, organised, integrated and managed to fully support the strategic aims of the Directorate.
You will be an experienced HR/OD practitioner with a solutions-focused approach to challenges and an ability to drive forward positive change. A technical expertise in workforce planning and change management is a necessity for this role, with an in-depth understanding of legal issues and best practice.
You will be confident in your own practice and your ability to engage and influence at a senior level, with strong and visible leadership, excellent communication skills and a flexible approach.
This role will cover all Trust sites including Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital and Solihull Hospital. There is flexibility around work location and homeworking is encouraged. There will be a requirement to provide senior management support to the wider Workforce Directorate on site at Queen Elizabeth, approximately twice per month.
Discussions around flexible working are welcomed.
