Brilliant Opportunity to Join Award Winning Charity

Scouts gives young people skills for life. We help 460,000 young people speak up, play their part and find their place in the world. We’re improving their life chances in an increasingly complex, challenging and competitive society.

We can only support our young people and volunteers if our staff team lives and breathes the same values of care, respect, integrity, belief and cooperation. That’s why we’re committed to creating a culture that values our people and their personal development above all else. We also place a strong emphasis on wellbeing, most especially during this very difficult time. The People & Culture team is responsible for leading all the work that achieves success with this approach.

Already an Investors in People Gold accredited employer, in 2020 we won the IiP Third Sector Award. Now we are focused on our recovery during 2021 following the impact of Covid and so the People & Culture team have a huge responsibility to maintain the high quality of our HR services as well as develop an even more inclusive culture in which our staff can thrive. Alongside a second HR Co-ordinator, you will have great exposure to the full range of HR functions – a fantastic opportunity for someone who already has some HR administrative experience to develop further. We’re a small team, but we can have a big impact and we’re fun to work with. As well as being highly IT savvy, a great organiser and someone who communicates empathetically and clearly with staff at all levels, we are looking for commitment, willingness to learn and a great team player.
