HR Business Partners/£45,000 - German Speaking

Your new company
Hays HR are proud to partner with a global business who are seeking to appoint a HR Business Partner. This is a newly created role reporting into a Group Head of HR. You will be based at the site on the outskirts of Newport, with full responsibility for a site in Germany and also a further site in England. You will be a key member of a wider very established HR team based at the Newport site. This business is exciting and very fast paced. This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop your HR Career operating a true HR Generalist.

Your new role

* To fulfil the role of ambassador for the HR department and a representative of the Company.
* To support the defined customer group of directors/managers to deliver business goals.
* Provide information to enable managers to make personnel-related decisions on such matters as attendance, absence and performance, using the data available within HR to identify patterns of behaviour and equity and proposing solutions and alternatives
* To support, advise and provide insight to managers with regards to workforce planning, succession planning and talent management.
* To maintain a good working relationship and clear communication paths with HR colleagues and other support functions to ensure all activity relating to employees is consistent and efficient.
* To apply knowledge around legal requirements and geographic regulations to ensure that HR policies and guidelines remain compliant and current, advising and updating the business on changes to employment law.
* Represent the Company at personnel-related meetings, hearings and investigations
* To put forward ideas on process improvement and taking ownership of project work as assigned.
* To ensure that systems used for tracking headcount, attendance and absence are used and functioning to the best of the systems' capability.
* To act as employee liaison as required.
* To ensure that new employees are given an excellent first impression of the Company by providing an accurate and thorough offer, background check and onboarding experience.
* To develop and report HR metrics as required and compare to benchmark data.
* To take care of sensitive employee data and at all times maintain the strictest of confidentiality.

What you'll need to succeed

* Broad understanding of all areas of HR, across UK and other geographies.
* Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the application of employment legislation in the UK and in Germany.
* Proven track record in change management, organisational design and employee relations.
* Fluent German and English Language skills essential
* CIPD Qualification
