Fixed term contract for 12 months ideally starting in May 2021

Full time, 35 hours per week

Our client is one of 46 Wildlife Trusts working across the UK. With the invaluable support of volunteers and members we manage over 50 nature reserves. They also work with other organisations and landowners to protect and connect wildlife sites across the county and inspire local communities and young people to care for wildlife where they live.

 

They are currently looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.

 

The role:

The HR Business Partner will be the strategic lead for HR & Volunteering. Working collaboratively with the Chief Executive and Directors, your role will be to continue to drive forward the People Strategy, ensuring they have the human resources to realise their ambitions for wildlife across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

 

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational functionality of both the HR department and volunteering. You will take ownership for HR activities at all stages of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, payroll, learning and development, employee engagement, health and wellbeing, diversity, employee relations, talent and organisational design.

 

About you:

They are looking for someone with the following:

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent (level 7).
  • Experience in a senior HR role with excellent people management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR legislation.
  • Solid experience of leading and implementing change initiatives, including developing and implementing HR Strategy.
  • Experience and understanding of volunteer management and development initiatives would be an advantage
  • An analytical and goal oriented approach.
  • A passion for nature and environmental issues.
