We are recruiting to a number of voluntary positions to join our amazing Board of Trustees and to share in our continuing success.
“For anyone who is passionate about the work that Mind Aberystwyth does, like myself, I would highly recommend considering a role as trustee. It can be a great way to get an insight into the management of a charity, everyone has been really supportive, and it feels great to be involved.” Sally Bathurst, Trustee
Our Vision
We won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect.
Our Mission
We provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
Our Services
We achieve our vision and mission through the delivery of wellbeing & tenancy support, a monthly newsletter, peer support, training courses, health and wellbeing activities and mental health advice and guidance.
Whether you are an experienced trustee or wanting to take your first steps at Board level we want to hear from you.
As a trustee you will have
- Induction, training and reimbursable expenses
- Opportunities to make strategic decisions and learn new skills
- Opportunities to network with senior professionals
- Influence to shape charity development and service provision
- The opportunity to improve health and wellbeing for your local community
The expected time commitment is 6 Board meetings per year (usually Tuesdays 4 to 6pm in Aberystwyth or online), ad hoc committee work, and events for staff and trustees to work together on opportunities that arise from time to time.
“Our Board are a fantastic group of people who are vital for making the big decisions and seeing the bigger picture. We would be lost without them.” Mind Aberystwyth Staff
