A 14m FTC (Maternity Cover) for a Recruiter / HR Generalist to join a childcare provider in Southampton.

Your new company

My client are an established provider of bespoke childcare who support children and young people with complex mental health and behavioural needs.

The organisation have many sites in the local area with their Head Office based in Southampton.

Your new role

Please note this position will begin on Monday 5th April for a handover period with the current holder of the role who goes on maternity leave in mid-May. There will also be a 4 week handover in reverse at the end of the 14m FTC.

This is a 14 month FTC (maternity cover) for a Recruiter / HR Generalist to join a team of 2 with support from a HR Advisor who all report into an experienced Head of HR. You will be responsible for recruiting all levels to the business from care workers to general / care home managers.

This role will primarily cover recruitment, on-boarding and pre-start checks / DBS etc, but there are also HR generalist responsibilities inc: supporting ER case work, maintaining / updating policies, conducting telephone interviews / assisting other interviews. You may also have the opportunity to support HR projects too.

What you'll need to succeed

This is a recruitment-biased opportunity with some HR generalist responsibilities too and will suit someone looking for a fast-paced, varied role in Southampton.

You must be CIPD Level 3 qualified with experience in a similar role within a Recruitment or HR function. Due to my client being a private healthcare business, this role is entirely office-based and does not offer remote / hybrid working.
