Do you relish a challenge to make a difference?

Since its establishment in 2012, the College of Policing has played a key role in equipping policing with the skills and knowledge necessary to prevent crime, protect the public, and secure public trust. As the Pay and Reward Manager you will be working as part of the HR team leading on all areas of Pay and Reward.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join us at a time when there is great scope and opportunity to help shape our pay and reward strategy.

As the Pay and Reward Manager, you will be responsible for the development of pay policies and providing expert advice to managers and employees on pay and benefits. You will also manage the Payroll team and be required to develop strong, customer-focused and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced pay and reward specialist who will play a leading role in the development of pay strategy and reward and recognition initiatives as we enter into a period of significant change within the organisation.

This is a unique role which will help inform the pay and reward agenda moving forward. You will need to possess a solid technical grasp of reward and benefits issues and have experience and knowledge of public sector, or civil service pay, grading and reward principles and processes.

Experience of working at both a strategic and operational level will be vital, along with strong numerical and analytical skills.  Above all, you should be an enthusiastic and passionate team player who is able forge good working relationships across the HR Team, Senior Managers and key stakeholders internally and externally.
