HR Officer - 3 month FTC
Your new company
My client are a leading retail group with operations throughout the UK and a head office in Crewe. They have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Officer to join their HR team, initially on a 3 month FTC with the strong possibility of a significant extension.
Your new role
Using your proven experience of providing professional, transnational people support, you'll operate across a generalist remit providing end-to-end support across the employee life-cycle. This will involve activities such as providing recruitment and onboarding support, producing employee contracts, offer letters, change letters etc.
Ensuring all data is maintained in our system. You will also manage all people compliance checks across your area of responsibility, including setting up new starters, processing leavers, changes and exceptions through their HRIS and payroll system.
You will be proficient in all areas of Microsoft applications and possess strong analytical skills and be used to producing and manipulating data into key management information and people metrics for our end to end people reporting process. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in other areas of HR including supporting on People projects.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a generalist HR Officer/Administration level role and be qualified to degree level in a HR/Business related subject or studying towards your CIPD.
You will be a proactive, 'can do' person, with the ability to role model a positive, team working culture, representing the People Team in a professional manner to all stakeholders at all times and you will be passionate about all things people and customers as well as team working.
Strong analytical experience and previous experience processing payroll would also be a distinct advantage.
What you'll get in return
The role attracts a salary of c£22,000-£24,000 plus a generous holiday entitlement, flexible working with one week 2 days from home and the next week 3 days on a rota basis and there is a strong possibility to role could be extended to cover a period of maternity leave in the team.
