Human Resources Business Partner required for a local authority whilst a member of the team works on a specific programme , you will be required to deliver and maintain a business focused HR service for a directorate within the council.
You will be responsible for providing a professional HR service to managers within a designated area on all workforce related matters including:
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with supported managers and other stakeholders
- Ensuring high quality outcomes for the business to meet current and future business objectives and improve upon service delivery.
- Provision of a professional HR service to managers within a designated area on all workforce related matters including resourcing, management of attendance, performance management, employee relations issues and general HR management interventions
- Ensuring all organisational HR performance targets are monitored and met, and ensure remedial action is undertaken. The post holder will manage an on-going caseload of work
Ideally a graduate member of the CIPD, you will have the credibility and confidence together with a detailed understanding of working within a complex public sector organisation , ideally local government.
You will work closely with operational managers across a varied workload and will need to build positive and effective relationships to deliver the best outcomes on a variety of people topics including complex employee relations cases.
You will require excellent interpersonal and influencing skills. The broad scope of the role requires a results-focused approach, supported by well-developed analytical planning, excellent practice knowledge and strong organisational skills. This role will require absolute commitment and energy; and will provide you with an opportunity to play an integral part in delivering organisational and cultural change. Working remotely full time.
