The Schools of King Edward VI in Birmingham (“the Foundation”) is one of the most significant educational charities in this country. King Edward’s School was founded in 1552, and now in the 21st century the Foundation runs eleven schools – two independent fee-paying schools, six selective academies and three non-selective academies, and there are plans for ongoing growth.

The King Edward VI Academy Trust Birmingham (“the Academy Trust”) was established in 2017 and is made up of the nine academies outlined above.  Our overarching mission is “to make Birmingham the best place to be educated in the UK”.

The purpose of this role is to provide a proactive and efficient HR support service spanning all aspects of the employee lifecycle including resourcing, learning and development, compliance, service contracts, management information and projects.

The HR Assistant will be a recognisable point of contact for HR related enquiries and will respond to these or field these as appropriate.

The HR Assistant will ensure a consistent and professional service to meet the needs of our employees and achievement of objectives set out in the HR strategy.
