Senior HR Advisor - 9 month FTC

Your new company

My client are a highly successful automotive parts manufacturer who supply parts for many high profile clients across the globe. They have now have requirement for an experienced Senior HR Advisor/Manager to join their team to cover a period of maternity for c9 months. Based out of their site in Cannock there is also the flexibility to work a day from home each week.

Your new role

Reporting into the Operational HR Manager you will be responsible for:


* Coordinate the transition of Employees from the existing operation to the new purpose built facility locally.
* Attend and contribute to Works Council Committee meetings, issue minutes and undertake actions that arise from these meetings
* Coordinate any redundancy programme needed in association with the closure of the plant and transfer of work to the new operation.
* Co-ordinate appropriate and effective workforce communications.
* Identify and carry out absence management activities to meet company target for absence rates. Actions may include: facilitate return to work interviews, maintaining regular contact with absentees, attend and chair absence review meetings, conduct home visits, manage referrals to Occupational Health, gaining employee consent to access further medical information, requesting comprehensive medical report from GP, facilitating return to work rehabilitation programmes and applying capability processes where appropriate .
* Support and provide coaching to the managers, supervisors and team leaders in HR related matters as they arise to resolve issues fairly, consistently and within company policies
* Produce daily, weekly and monthly absence reports to analyse and monitor results. Identify, facilitate solutions and provide guidance to those dealing with employment matters such as performance, conduct, capability, grievance, unfair treatment etc, ensuring effective and profession process followed.
* Maintain and use HR systems such as SAP and Crown to produce accurate reports and conduct further analysis / OSP development in order to tailor strategies around current KPI status.
* Undertake projects that support the annual plant objectives
* Ensuring all record keeping is compliant with legislation and accessible for future use.
* Any other ad hoc tasks as requested that underpin the Company's vision and values whilst considering the credibility and reputation of the HR department Support other HR functions such as training, H&S and payroll


What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally be CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent and will have a track record operating in a generalist capacity in manufacturing, logistics, engineering or closely aligned industry sector.

You must have demonstrable experience with change management and redundancy management. Ability to lead and guide managers and supervisors and make local decisions to progress issues. Able to build relationships and influence at all levels whilst displaying trust, integrity, sensitivity, confidentiality, professionalism, diversity awareness and good networking skills Ability to train others in HR policies and procedures.

What you'll get in return

The role attracts a salary of c£35,000-£40,000 DOE plus a generous benefits package, You must be in a position to start a new role within 2 weeks to be considered for this opportunity.
