Hoddesdon, Broxbourne

Salary: £38,261 to £42,512 (pro rata) per annum

Closing Date: 6th April

Interview Date: 21st April

Our client are currently the largest provider of social housing in the Broxbourne area, owning and managing almost 5000 properties in Hertfordshire and Essex. Their annual financial turnover is almost £40m and they have around 170 staff. Their core purpose is under review, but their working purpose is to make a permanent and sustainable positive change to the housing crisis in and around the borough of Broxbourne. They are financially secure and have a robust business plan that includes ambitious growth plans, with 500 new homes including shared ownership sales in their development pipeline.

This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience of coordinating equality, diversity and inclusion work across an organisation. As a Diversity and Inclusion Manager you will work with teams across the business to put systems and structures in place to enable them to embed and manage EDI within their service area. You will provide a toolkit, training and ongoing support to enable teams to carry out equality impact assessments / equality analysis to ensure EDI considerations are incorporated into our policies, practices and annual plans.

Further to this, you will keep up to date with any changes in legislation, regulation and best practice, making recommendations for improvements in their policies and practices. You will also work closely with their Communications team, helping coordinate internal and external communications campaigns and activities in line with their business priorities and diversity calendar.

They’ll need you to demonstrate that you:

Have good written and verbal communication skills

The ability to work with people at all levels of the business presenting information clearly and concisely for a range of audiences.

Previous experience of coordinating EDI work and of analysing complex data and identifying resulting actions required

A good knowledge of EDI and how to embed this in both employment practices and service delivery to customers.

As an organisation, our client are passionate about what they do, not only for their customers but also for our staff. They have an exciting and challenging future ahead of them. If you believe you have the personal commitment and qualities to help them deliver their purpose and want to be part of an ambitious and effective team, they would be very interested in hearing from you.

All their vacancies are open to flexible working arrangements, something they are really proud of. They offer a competitive benefits package including generous leave entitlements and a personal pension scheme. They believe in the benefits of a diverse workforce and strongly welcome applications from those currently under-represented in the organisation, including LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) people, people with disabilities and people from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.
