At HSE, we work with one goal in mind – to help keep Britain’s workforce safe and healthy. As an independent regulator, our work touches virtually every sector of UK industry. We don’t just inspect workplaces and implement the law, we campaign for better H&S practice, craft and review guidance and regulations, and produce crucial research and statistics. As we embark on an exciting period of growth, attracting and recruiting the right talent becomes ever-more important.
The role
Joining the recruitment team within HSE’s Human Resources Division, you will make an impact by building a new attraction strategy and portfolio. From our website to our social media presence, we’ll look to you to design and deliver creative methods and channels for attracting talent. You will also lead employer branding initiatives, and ensure every aspect of the hiring process offers an exceptional experience for every candidate. Supporting the recruitment team by providing advice, guidance, training and mentoring in candidate experience and attraction will also be a key challenge.
Your background
With experience in an in-house team or external provider, you’ll be able to point to a portfolio of creative recruitment campaigns that yielded high volumes of high-quality applicants. You’ll understand talent demographics and be capable of developing targeted marketing tactics, as well as analysing recruitment metrics and producing reports. You’re likely to be CIPD qualified or working towards qualification. A focus on change and improvement is essential.
Rewards
There’s a lot to look forward to here beyond the generous Civil Service pension and our commitment to flexible working. We put a high value on ongoing personal and professional development and offer access to learning opportunities tailored to your role. You can also expect annual leave of least 25 days.
Our work affects people’s lives across the UK, and it’s important that our teams reflect the diversity of the society we work to protect. So we look for people to bring different skills, perspectives and experience from all walks of life, and particularly welcome BAME, disabled and LGBT+ applicants, currently underrepresented in this discipline within HSE.
