Their Care and Support team is growing, and they are excited to be recruiting for a Learning, Practice and Training Advisor.

The Role
As an integral member of the Care and Support team, their Learning, Practice and Training Advisor will support the coordination of an effective induction and lead the achievement of mandatory training and care skills development of their care and support colleagues, ensuring best practice is embedded into their working practices.

Working in collaboration with their Learning and Development team, you will deliver a high quality standardised approach to health and social care education, with involvement in the Academy supporting apprenticeship and volunteer schemes.

Key responsibilities:

  • support their Care and Support leaders to fully meet mandatory training compliance standards for their service areas
  • collaborate with their Learning & Development Advisor in the coordination of effective induction for their Care and Support colleagues
  • deliver key mandatory training subjects ensuring that new starters enter the workplace with confidence, competence, and a clear understanding of how to provide a high-quality service
  • monitor mandatory training compliance, alerting leaders where colleagues are not meeting standards in line with statutory requirements
  • liaise with other educational professionals and organisations to share and develop resources  
  • provide monthly status updates to leaders, ensuring that organisational performance indicators on training are met 
  • ensure the organisation complies with the Skills for Care adult social care data sets and utilises workforce development funding, and other funding support

About You
They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and inspiring; someone who can motivate others to deliver the best care and support to their customers, and demonstrates the values of empowerment, dignity and respect to the people using their services. The Learning, Practice and Training Advisor should be calm, organised and have a flare for communicating and presenting to both large and small groups.

You will:

  • be a qualified and experienced Health or Social Care practitioner, with evidence of post registration education activity to degree level or equivalent experience
  • hold a relevant Teaching/Training and Assessors’ qualification
  • be an experienced Practice Supervisor and Assessor, with experience of promoting learning and professional development across a variety of settings
  • have knowledge of CQC training standards and requirements, Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers and Adult Social Care Workers
