  • HR induction of all new starters – introducing them to our HR policies and systems and ID checking
  • Supporting line managers with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary
  • Management and promotion of Nosy Crow’s employee assistance programme
  • Providing administrative support to our payroll function
  • Use Nosy Crow’s HR system to access, input and compile data

  • HR professional qualifications desirable, but not essential

The successful candidate will have the right to live and work in the UK and will be available to start in May. We envisage this as a part-time role working up to 21 hours per week, but are willing to negotiate working hours and patterns with the right person for the job.

To apply please email your CV, salary expectations and an email of no more than 500 words detailing why you think you would be the right person for the job, to Imogen Blundell (imogen@nosycrow.com). Company

Nosy Crow is a multi-award-winning, independent children’s publishing company. We began publishing child-focused, parent-friendly children’s books in January 2011 with the aim of creating books that encourage children to read for pleasure. We’re one of the country’s fastest growing publishing companies: we’re currently the 12th biggest publisher of children’s books in the UK.

We publish high-quality, commercial fiction and non-fiction books for children aged from 0 to 12 by well-known authors and illustrators and by new talent. Making well-designed physical books is important to us, and we think carefully about covers, paper type and paper weight so that our books are attractive to look at and pleasing to hold. All of our fiction appears simultaneously in print and ebook form, and many of our fiction titles are also available as audiobooks. All of our paperback picture books and many of our baby and board books come with a free digital audio reading using an innovation we’ve called Stories Aloud. We’re building a library of audio-enhanced iBooks with text highlighting which are digital versions of our picture books.
