Permanent Learning & Development Business Partner role

Your new company
We have an exciting new permanent Learning & Development Business Partner opportunity to work for a large consultancy and engineering organisation. As an overall group the business have well over 20,000 members working across projects. This remit will be to work for their European business which include over 2,000 employees located throughout the UK.

Your new role
The role will be a stand alone Learning & Development role reporting into the HR Director and will be responsible for the full learning & development programme for approximately 1500 staff over a range of disciplines and will include operational & strategic responsibilities. You will be responsible for the design and delivery of a strategy to ensure the effective development of people, and maximise the impact of their training and development spend; enhancing the calibre of leaders in the group and supporting in the improvement of engagement and retention across the group. This role is a key member of the HR Leadership Team, supporting wider projects within the function. You will need to be experienced in designing and delivering leadership programmes that have impact at pace; as well as experience of effectively managing a wide range of training activities across a broad discipline of technical skills. As part of this role there will also be a big focus around early careers management including their apprenticeship levy and the management of the apprentices present and future. Again around the early careers piece you will also be responsible for managing the businesses early graduates programmes and delivering on these schemes. You will also look to bring expertise from external consultancies to help with more technical based learning programmes.

What you'll need to succeed
Experienced senior level L & D candidate who has been responsible for the implementation of new strategic plans as well as proven experience of the delivery of these
Candidates must be comfortable with operating in a stand alone role although further HR team around.
Must have experience of managing a large apprenticeship levy budget and managing the apprenticeship programmes as well as experience of managing the graduate programme.
This role is likely to be offered to a candidate from a larger organisation given the employee headcount and global reach.
