City Business School is one of Europe’s leading providers of business and management education and is fast becoming the intellectual hub of the City of London. The Postgraduate Professional Development Manager plays a vital role in the Postgraduate Career & Professional Development Team. The team provide careers support to approx. 400 full time MBA and part time executive MBA students across four formats and 1500 specialist Masters students across 20 plus programmes.

  Responsibilities

The successful candidate will demonstrate the passion and ability to positively impact lifelong employability and employment opportunities for City Business School Postgraduates. The role holder contributes to the provision, co-ordination and evaluation of a high-quality Career and Professional Development curriculum encompassing workshops, industry overviews and one to one careers advice and coaching. This requires up to date knowledge of effective training methods, the evolving jobs market, recruitment trends and selections methods, and the ability to effectively impart this knowledge to a highly diverse range of students. This role will support the development of online Careers services and digital engagement with students. This is a part-time 0.8 FTE role.

  Person Specification

• Experience in the design & delivery of workshops; confident presentation skills required
• Experience in the management of a learning and development curriculum
• Experience of one-to-one career advice and working with career changers (career coaching qualification preferable)
• Has held a Senior L&D, Talent Management or Recruitment role
• Experience of CV/application screening, designing and delivering interviews and assessment centres
• Experience of online recruitment tools and / or digital professional development platforms
• Preferably BPS Level A and B Qualified (Euro Test User Certificate Level 2)
