Associate Director of HR and Recruitment Services

Employer
The University of Sheffield
Location
Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary
£60,905 - £79,413 per annum
Closing date
24 Jun 2021

This new role has been created to lead an organisation-wide change programme reviewing and redesigning the way we attract, select and induct new staff. Attracting the highest calibre staff from around the world is crucial to our ambitions as a University and we must ensure that our talent attraction approach, recruitment processes, selection methods and onboarding support enable this. In reshaping the way we recruit, we must also take this opportunity to ensure our processes are truly inclusive and remove the potential for bias – a key aim of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategies.

We are seeking an experienced HR/Organisational Development practitioner with an excellent understanding of recruitment and selection and equality, diversity and inclusion to join our HR Executive Team as Associate Director of HR and Recruitment Services. You will be able to recruit and shape a new recruitment service to deliver the programme and provide high quality recruitment advice and support across the organisation.

The Associate Director will also provide strategic leadership of our HR Services team, as well as lead all aspects of our HR systems and people data capability – all key parts of our service.

In addition to an HR/Organisational Development background and expertise, the role will require a skilled and influential communicator with well-developed analytical skills, written ability and a track record of successful project delivery.

If this sounds like you and you are keen to join an ambitious, forward thinking, world leading University then we would love to hear from you. We can offer a competitive salary, access to an excellent pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement as well as the ability to work with greater flexibility as the University embarks on a hybrid working pilot.

We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
