Job Details

My client, a welcoming faith-based community Charity with a deep commitment to driving social action and interfaith activities is now seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This role will be part-time (22-24 hours per week), with working hours to ideally be spread across 4 or 5 days a week. Please note the organisation have been working remotely in line with recent government advice, however going forward this role will ordinarily be based on site in central London, with some potential scope for flexible working arrangements.

As Human Resources Manager in this stand-alone role, you will work closely with the senior management, heads of department and staff to provide a comprehensive HR service to the organisation, whilst managing and delivering strategic HR projects and help facilitate a positive and caring work and employee culture. You will act as internal subject matter expert for all HR and employment related questions, ensuring all policies and procedures are compliant, proactively handle Employee Relations issues including coaching managers in the resolution of ER matters, advise on organisational restructuring, support Managers in the Recruitment & Selection process and ensure effective onboarding and induction processes, maintain HR-related documentation, files, analyse HR data, manage employee benefits providers, annual appraisal processes, training budgets and much, much more!

This role will ideally suit a CIPD qualified (or equivalent) HR professional with prior stand-alone HR Manager (Generalist) experience and with the personality, work ethos and flexibility conducive to working in a small faith-based charity. You will require a proven track record of supporting senior managers and staff in day-day HR matters, including facilitating people management best practice, employee well-being and engagement and maintaining a positive working and employee culture. You should also possess a keen eye for detail, with significant experience of accurately administering payroll and employee benefits with some elements of salary sacrifice (through external providers), HR experience of liaising with Finance and an understanding of associated HMRC processes. Experience of delivering strategic HR projects, including departmental and organisation wide restructuring programmes would also be highly desirable.
