Employment Support Team Leader (Generalists)

Your new company

I am currently supporting a Public Sector organisation based in North London to hire an Employment Support Team Leader who will support colleagues in delivery against the Employment and Skills Recovery Action Plan, maximising employment and skills outcomes for residents and lead Generalist Employment Advisors team.

Your new role

You will provide direct line management and professional support to Generalist Employment Advisors and Business Support staff in the organisation. You will design and deliver a Volunteering and Work Experience Programme in partnership with HR colleagues for registered clients and strategic partners. You will oversee the development and expansion of an Upskilling and Development workshops, webinars and training courses, virtually and face to face to support residents with the modern skills, information and knowledge to be successful in recruitment. You will lead on the development of Recruitment Events, Information sessions, Employer Screenings and other initiatives to bring information and employment and career development opportunities closer to residents. You will also oversee the quality of the support package provided for clients who join organisation Temporary staff talent pool.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have experience in Team leading, Coaching and Mentoring in Regeneration, Health and Social Care or Education settings.


* You will have provided Professional Caseload Management and Supervision in an employment support or related setting
* Have knowledge of Local Labour Market, Sector Skills Gaps, Employment and skills legislative and policy framework provision, Specialist Support Networks and Education & Training providers
* You will be aware of modern recruitment methods and the impact on different groups in society
* Knowledge of training, upskilling and development within the welfare to work sector
* Able to identify and implement a range of innovative strategies to support and place unemployed people
* Experience designing and delivering recruitment events and training and employability programmes to a varied audience
* Experience designing and or delivering Volunteering and Work Experience Programmes
