You’ll drive the learning that helps us make a difference to the communities of London
The Met Police strive to provide a world-class service. That doesn’t just apply to how we protect the capital’s residents. It’s vital that we give our teams the training they need to keep London safe. As L&D Content and Development Lead, you’ll oversee the delivery of an innovative police curriculum to more than 40,000 officers and staff.
In this senior leadership role, you’ll ensure effective learning content is delivered to all our colleagues. With your experience overseeing L&D strategy, you’ll create and lead ambitious learning programmes. You’ll know how to make content engaging, and lead with integrity to deliver blended learning solutions.
Through measured performance reviews, you’ll ensure training design and delivery is fit for purpose. You’ll be responsible for content creation budgets and steer the design of both curriculum and peer-to-peer training. Plus, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that we continue to bring the most up to date operational insights into the content development team.
With your strong knowledge of the police curriculum, you’ll ensure the acquisition of core skills across the Met. We’ll expect you to have a proven track record delivering L&D strategy through a complex public sector organisation. As a confident leader, you’ll empower managers and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders. You’ll also identify opportunities for development and be passionate about driving change.
To join, your experience with training and certifications in the public sector is essential. As is a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field. Plus, you’ll have experience with large scale rollouts of talent management tools and have a proven ability to exceed objectives.

Completed applications must be submitted by 30th July 2021.
We view diversity as fundamental to our success. To tackle today’s complex policing challenges, we need a workforce made up from all of London’s communities. Applications from across the community are therefore essential.
