Job Details

HR Manager - Doncaster - circa £38000 plus bens - NEW SITE AND ROLE - EXCITING NEW HR MANAGER for a brand new site

HR Manager - Doncaster - up to £38,000 DOE plus benefits

Your new company
My client is a large international warehouse and logistics company who have recently been growing and are setting up new contracts and bases in the UK. This is for their brand new site at Doncaster to assist in the set up, go live and growth of the site and ultimately the success of the UK operations. Initially a stand-alone HR Manager with the opportunity to build your own HR team of x2 HR Assistants once settled in the role.

Your new role
Initially you will be involved in the exciting project of "Go Live" for the site - assisting with the set up of the HR function for the employees that will be coming into the business, and then assisting the new Site and Operations Managers with the recruitment of key roles for the new site. You will then be involved in engaging with and deciding on recruitment agencies/site PSL for the supply of agency staff to go both temp to perm, and interims for "peak" and busy periods of the year.

Following "Go Live" in autumn 2021, you will then be supporting the HR Director in the delivery of the HR agenda. You will be developing, implementing and providing all the HR KPIs needed for the site, with accountabilities including talent & management development, compensation and benefits, performance management, policies, processes & procedures and ensuring alignment with legislation.

Alongside the HR Director you will be working to ensure the HR function is attracting and retaining the best talent for the business, including remuneration and benefits, training and recruitment whilst promoting and driving the employee engagement agenda.

You will be present to provide HR advise and support across the site to the senior operational and wider team when required and work with the teams, establishing and maintaining effective and credible relationships. Then you will assist with the recruitment, training and development of a site HR team.

NB Initially you will be working from home until the site office becomes available. Then you will be on site full time due to the scale up of the operations and your valued immediate input required. Once settled, there will be an option for some WFH days

What you'll need to succeed
For this post you need to be an experienced HR Manager - ideally experience of being stand-alone and /or site set up within rapid growth areas.
CIPD qualification is admired but not required for this role.
Any prior industry experience within logistics would be an advantage bit NOT necessary - potential, drive and energy are more important.

Ideally your experience will cover :
Experience in delivering projects including restructures, change agendas, post TUPE/Acquisition activities Knowledge of implementing HR information systems
ER - appropriate case management at all disciplinary stages
Proven experience in understanding and application of up to date employment legislation within the workplace
Experience of developing employee engagement action plans, and a strong understanding of performance management processes, talent management processes & succession planning
Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines in fast paced environments
Ability and experience of working to business-critical deadlines and KPI's
Ability to manage HR teams through effective leadership and communication Commercial awareness with strategic approach

What you'll get in return
A competitive salary up to £38,000 DOE.
Hours are 40 a week - you can do 8-5, 830-530 or 9-6 Monday to Friday
More than standard holidays - 25 plus the bank holidays
Workplace pension with more than standard employer contribution (matched)
Life assurance
Additional platform of discounts/benefits

This is a great opportunity to truly carve out your own role, manage a site and have an impact on the success of a growing UK division. You will get the opportunity to recruit and develop your own
