Lead in-force client manager for Workforce Planning and Recruitment delivery. To lead resourcing delivery in line with delivery of strategic workforce plan. To ensure that Devon and Cornwall and Dorset Police’s capabilities match demand, through strategies, plans and effective delivery of the Resourcing function; enabling the forces to continue to meet its strategic objectives.

Given the nature of the post it will require a considerable degree of personal commitment from the post-holder. The post holder is also likely to attend a number of conferences/courses to ensure professional knowledge is kept up to date; this may involve overnight stays and on occasion attendance at events at weekends.
The role will be the in-force client manager & will have oversight of team issues that are based across two forces and therefore there will be a requirement to ensure appropriate oversight of two main locations, Winfrith and Exeter. .
At the request of the Director of HR, the post-holder will be required to undertake other roles either within the Department or commensurate to their skills and capabilities and grade.
The nature of the role is such that the post holder would be expected to work outside normal hours as circumstances dictate. The emphasis is however on completion of work rather than hours performed albeit within the constraints of working time regulations.
